BIOGRAPHY
|
Antonio Arias from the University of Redlands serves as the first person of color
to become Student body president in the school's history. Antonio says that the poverty
and living conditions of the farm workers he visited in the Coachella Velley were almost
indescribable. Since to many injustices people experience such as bathing in canals and
living in their cars just to be able to work various seasonal crops in order to feed their families.
Antonio has been involved in numerous volunteer activities such as coordinating Cinco
de Mayo and multiculatural festivals at the University of Redlands along with the multicultural
brotherhood, and being active with the Redlands Public Housing Project.
